Botox for Wrinkles

What is botox?

Botox is a cosmetic procedure to treat wrinkles on the forehead, around the eyes, as well as smile lines.

When injected into specific muscles, Botox blocks the signals from the nerves to the muscles, leading to relaxation and a reduction in muscle activity. As a result, this can smooth out wrinkles in the skin caused by repetitive muscle contractions. It's important to note that Botox should only be administered by qualified medical professionals, as misuse can lead to serious health risks.

Are Botox injections safe?

Yes. Botox has been approved by the FDA for cosmetic use since 2013 and is considered a safe treatment when administered by qualified professionals, like our board-certified physician at MIMIT Health.

How long do Botox injections last?

Botox injections typically last 3-6 months. After that point, many select to receive another injection as the wrinkles start to reappear. However, wrinkles are less severe as you get more treatment.

Botox for the forehead

Very common for reducing the appearance of forehead lines. By targeting the underlying muscles responsible for creating these lines, Botox injections effectively smooth out wrinkles, providing a more youthful and relaxed appearance.
