Job Title: OR X-Ray Tech

Location: Chicago, IL and Glen Ellyn, IL


As a Radiology tech, you would balance the needs of patients and maintain efficient work flow of the office as well as provide support to the physician during medical procedures. In addition, you would ensure that the patient has an excellent service experience. 


  • Operating Vascular Ziehm RFD C-Arm during peripheral arterial diagnostic and treatment procedures in a premier office-based lab. 

  • Assists physicians in the treatment of vascular disease within a sterile environment along with minimally invasive treatments of the spine, fibroids, dialysis care, and etc.

  • Maintain facilities, equipment, and materials in a condition to promote efficiency, health, comfort, and safety of patients and staff. 

  • Responsible for transferring DICOM images to PACS system. 

  • Check equipment, supplies and accessories on a regular daily basis

  • Positions patient on examining table and adjusts immobilization devices to obtain optimum views of specified area, make exposures, and assists physician during fluoro exam

  • Demonstrates knowledge and ability in performing the following procedures:Cerebral and carotid Angiogram, extremity and pelvis Angiogram, femoral run-off, aortic arch, subtraction, injection factors, and catheter usage

  • Moves x-ray equipment into specified position and adjusts equipment controls to set exposure factors such as time, distance and shielding

  • Successfully completes requested cross training and demonstrates an ability to perform in every function in the cath lab area within designated scope of practice


  • Minimum one year of Interventional / Vascular Radiology Experience required 

  • Technical/Professional Training/Degree as a Radiologic Technologist (Certified by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) or eligible)

  • Cultural sensitivity and excellent patient care skills. 

  • Ability to work well in a high volume, fast paced environment. 

  • Ability to multitask, prioritize effectively, and work as part of a team

  • Must be willing to rotate to other off site locations

  • Radiation exposure

  • Must be able to deal with ill patients

  • Ability to lift and/or move patients

  • Heavy lifting: lifting 50 to 100 pounds occasionally and/or 25 to 50 pounds frequently and/or 10 to 20 pounds constantly

  • Ability to work in a fast~paced environment


  • One to two years of experience as a radiology technician is required

  • Entry level to intermediate 

Hearing must be adequate to perform job duties in person and over the telephone. Requires eye sight correctable to 20/20 to operate equipment and read information from printed sources and computer screens. Requires frequent bending, reaching, repetitive hand movements, standing, walking, squatting and sitting, with some heavy lifting, pushing and pulling exerted regularly throughout a regular work shift. Requires manual and finger dexterity and eye-hand coordination for operation and repair of all department equipment. Requires exposure to communicable patient conditions, toxic substances, medicinal preparations and other conditions common to a clinic environment.
